Your Role
* System Architecture: Define end-to-end system architecture and requirements
* Data Pipeline Development: Build data pipelines and simulation/benchmark frameworks with suitable metrics
* Algorithm Development: Develop and train algorithms for event/data‑efficient inference
* Model Optimization: Map and optimize models for edge hardware through techniques like quantization and pruning
* Real‑time Integration: Implement real‑time integration of sensing, compute, and comms with robustness features
* Validation and Benchmarking: Validate prototypes and run power, latency, and accuracy benchmarking across scenarios

Type of employment: Temporary / Part‑time (flexible working hours from Monday to Friday between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m.)

Qualifications And Skills To Help You Succeed
* Education: Pursuing a Bachelor's degree (at least in the 5th semester) in a relevant technical field such as Electrical Engineering, Physics, Information Technology, or similar field
* Language Skills: Fluency in English, with German as a plus
* Problem‑Solving: Ability to recognize problems, evaluate options and take action
* Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment, collaborating with others to achieve common goals
This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry (full‑time), employment group B for bachelor students (https://www.feei.at/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/minimum-salaries-white-collar-workers-2025.pdf).
This thesis has to be written in cooperation with a university.
