Position
Freelancer (20hrs per week) Clinical Evaluation Manager, responsible for end‑to‑end clinical evaluation activities for mySugr/Roche products—including mySugr®, Accu‑Chek®, navify® and other Roche devices. Location: Vienna, Austria.
Responsibilities
* Conduct systematic literature reviews, data appraisal, and author regulatory‑compliant Clinical Evaluation Reports (CERs) to demonstrate device safety and performance.
* Provide expert medical input to medical risk management and vigilance throughout the full product lifecycle, from development through post‑market.
* Facilitate team backlog grooming and prioritisation of deliverables to ensure efficient, scalable work practices.
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support product decisions and regulatory submissions.
Qualifications
* 1–3years of experience with regulatory/CER writing for medical devices or in‑vitro diagnostics.
* Advanced degree (MSc, PhD, MD, PharmD, or equivalent) in medicine, life sciences, pharmacology, biomedical engineering, biostatistics/epidemiology or related fields.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
* Detail‑oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
* Capability to make risk‑based decisions.
* Basic understanding of clinical research and biostatistics.
* Proficiency in Google Workspace.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
* Eagerness to learn and contribute to the team and the company.
Bonus Skills
* Technical understanding and enthusiasm for innovative apps and/or software development.
* Medical background and/or knowledge of the diabetes or other health industries.
* Experience with SAFe Agile ways of working.
* Confidence speaking in front of others.
