Own and manage SAP Basis system administration, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Maintain high availability of SAP systems; perform upgrades, apply patches, and manage transport processes. Regularly monitor system performance, interfaces, and scheduled jobs; proactively resolve bottlenecks and ensure timely execution of critical batch jobs. Lead all ABAP development activities, ensuring high‑quality, standardized coding, and consistent implementation of best practices. Maintain and update the ABAP Developer Handbook; utilize SAP ABAP Test Cockpit (ATC) for code analysis, validation, and quality assurance. Oversee Z‑code adaptation and migration of legacy systems to S/4HANA, optimizing ABAP code for the new architecture. Conduct performance tuning and refactoring of existing programs to modernize and future‑proof ABAP code. Monitor and manage SAP security, protecting against unauthorized access and ensuring compliance. Use SAP Solution Manager for change‑management processes. Collaborate with OS and database administrators to optimize SAP performance and with external providers for global teamwork. Qualifications
At least 5 years of professional experience in SAP Basis administration combined with strong ABAP development and custom coding expertise. Deep understanding of SAP system architectures, SAP Basis/ABAP interaction, and transport management. Experience coordinating, analyzing, and optimizing ABAP developments, including performance analysis and technical quality assurance. Experience in S/4HANA transformation or migration projects, especially custom code management, remediating ABAP, and adapting development to S/4HANA standards. Knowledge of SAP NetWeaver, SAP Solution Manager, SAP HANA Studio, SAP Readiness Checks, ATC, SPAU/SPDD, and related migration tools. Hands‑on experience operating SAP landscapes on Unix/Linux and Windows, and solid knowledge of SAP HANA, SQLServer, and DB2 database administration and performance optimization. Expertise in SAP system monitoring, backup and recovery strategies, security and authorization concepts, and performance tuning. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a structured, proactive approach to troubleshooting complex SAP and ABAP issues. In accordance with the collective agreement for the electrical and electronics industry in Austria, the minimum salary for this position is €65,000 gross per year (May2025). Compensation may exceed this minimum depending on qualifications and experience. Diversity & Inclusion
