The Team Leader (m/f/d) of the Customer Global Project Management Office (=GCPO) is responsible for establishing, leading, and continuously improving the global framework for customer project delivery. This role ensures that customer projects and programs are executed consistently, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards across all regions. The Team Leader drives governance, standardization, visibility, and accountability within the organization’s Global Project Management & Execution portfolio - enhancing customer satisfaction and operational performance.

Your Responsibilities:
Develop and lead the GCPO strategy, ensuring alignment with company objectives and customer success goals
Define and enforce Global Project Management & Execution standards, processes, tools, and methodologies
Monitor key metrics (schedule adherence, cost performance, quality, customer satisfaction) and report regularly to executive leadership
Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities across projects, implementing mitigation strategies
Ensure consistent and high-quality project delivery to global customers, from initiation through closure
Provide strategic oversight and escalation support for high‑visibility or complex customer projects
Partner with regional and Headquarter based functional teams to ensure alignment in project delivery and customer engagement practices
Continuously assess and optimize project management processes to improve efficiency and predictability
Drive standardization of project templates, KPIs, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms across all regions
Implement automation and digital tools to enhance visibility and control of global project performance
Build, lead, and mentor a global team of project and program managers
Establish training to strengthen project management capabilities across the PM Org
Act as the primary liaison between customer project teams and executive leadership for status, risks, and escalations
Collaborate cross‑functionally with Sales, Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Service to ensure seamless project execution
Present portfolio insights, performance trends, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
Your Profile & Core Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related discipline (Master degree preferred)
10+ years of experience in project or program management, including 5+ years leading a global PMO or large‑scale project organization
Proven experience managing global customer‑facing projects across multiple regions or business units
Strong understanding of customer project management
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Background in energy business, technology, manufacturing, or professional services industries preferred
Strategic and analytical thinking with strong customer and results orientation
Global collaboration and cultural awareness
Process discipline and governance
Change management and transformation leadership
Strong influencing and communication skills
Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis
