We are looking for an experienced and visionary
Group Business Development Manager
to join our team in Vienna. This is a strategic role responsible for driving sales growth, managing key international accounts, and spearheading innovation initiatives and knowledge management across our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, an understanding of the waste management industry, and the ability to translate foresight into actionable strategies.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive business development: identify market opportunities, develop sales strategies, and support country teams in achieving growth
* Build partnerships: work with companies, municipalities, and organizations to expand reach and access new technologies
* Manage international accounts: serve as the main contact for key clients and lead negotiations on high-value opportunities, facilitating cross-country collaborations
* Lead foresight & innovation: monitor industry trends, assess emerging technologies, and run knowledge-sharing initiatives
* Support M&A: provide commercial due diligence and strategic fit analysis
* Track legislation: monitor European regulations and translate them into actionable business strategies
Your Profile
* Several years of experience in business development, innovation, or knowledge management - preferably in waste management, environmental services, or related sectors
* Strong analytical skills and the ability to spot and assess new market opportunities
* Experience managing international client relationships and leading cross-functional teams.
* Excellent English skills (working language of the Group); knowing German and/or any Central and Eastern European language is advantageous
* Strategic, collaborative, and proactive mindset with strong communication and negotiation skills
* Willingness to travel internationally

For this position, we offer a
gross monthly salary starting at €4.500, plus a variable part
. Depending on your qualifications and professional experience, we are prepared to offer a
significantly higher salary
. The position is subject to the collective agreement for employees in the freight transport industry.
