A highly capable APAC IT Manager to lead IT operations across the Asia-Pacific region.
The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership qualities, solid SAP understanding, a deep grasp of IT infrastructure, and proven project management experience across multiple countries. The role includes managing a small, geographically dispersed IT team, driving performance, service quality, and continuous improvement.
The APAC IT Manager will collaborate closely with Global IT leadership, ensuring the region adheres to agreed global standards, architectures, cybersecurity policies, and service management practices.
What you will need to do
* Provide IT leadership for the APAC region, ensuring technology services support business and transformation goals.
* Work closely with the Regional Transformation Director on transformation initiatives and digital programs.
* Develop and execute regional IT plans in alignment with global IT strategies, standards, and governance frameworks.
* Build strong relationships with Global IT leaders, partnering to ensure consistency and compliance across the region.
* Lead, mentor, and motivate a small regional IT team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
* Participate in global IT forums, governance meetings, and working groups.
* Provide hands on management of SAP-related activities across APAC, working with global SAP teams on incident resolution, enhancements, and change management.
* Contribute to the delivery of SAP rollouts, upgrades, integration projects, and testing cycles.
* Oversee reliable, secure, and scalable IT infrastructure across multiple APAC locations, including networks, servers, cloud platforms, and endpoint technologies.
* Ensure compliance with global architecture standards, cybersecurity practices, and data governance policies.
* Manage regional IT budgets, forecasts, and cost optimization initiatives.
* Lead IT projects across the APAC region, delivering both global initiatives and regional transformation activities.
About you
* Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
* 8+ years of progressive IT experience within a multinational environment, including team leadership responsibilities.
* Practical, hands‑on understanding of SAP processes, support, and coordination with global SAP teams.
* Strong technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems.
* Proven project management skills, ideally across multiple regions or countries.
* Experience leading and developing a small, diverse, distributed team.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively with Global IT and follow global standards, architectures, and governance frameworks.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
* Comfortable working across cultures, time zones, and matrix environments.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities; proactive and solution focused.
* Experience managing vendors, contracts, and IT budgets.
