Deliver CSQ’s industry programs and services while developing strategic partnerships and managing stakeholder engagement.
Drive business unit strategy by planning, evaluating, and continuously improving programs and services to ensure they meet customer needs and deliver value.
In this role, you will work closely with primary and secondary industry stakeholders, and industry associations. You will liaise regularly with CSQ service providers and partners, including construction pathways and pre‑trade providers, and other contracted parties.
This role is pivotal in managing CSQ’s industry programs and services, with a strong focus on developing and maintaining relationships with industry partners and stakeholders. You will inform, consult, and collaborate on key matters related to the skills and training needs of Queensland’s building and construction workforce, while actively promoting CSQ’s initiatives across the state.
The role will require travel to attend stakeholder meetings and deliver activities across Queensland as well as some intrastate travel and overnight absences.
Day‑to‑day you will enjoy:
* Fostering and maintaining strong, effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, negotiating to strengthen industry‑wide understanding and collaboration on workforce development and skilling initiatives.
* Analyzing policy, data, and stakeholder feedback to identify key drivers of change and shape appropriate CSQ responses and strategies.
* Facilitating collaborative meetings, seminars, workshops, and activities that promote and strengthen external stakeholder relationships.
* Reporting on CSQ’s program performance, financial milestones, objectives, and achievements.
That means you will need to be:
* A confident relationship‑builder who can work with a wide range of stakeholders and construction enterprises to lead and influence them to build commitment to long‑term workforce development.
* Collaborative, with strong emotional and social awareness to work well across teams and industry stakeholders.
* Highly skilled in project and program management, with a strong understanding of the QLD construction industry environment, and a focus on delivering workforce development objectives.
* Comfortable using digital platforms and tools to manage projects, report progress, and communicate clearly with others.
* Strategically minded, with the ability to recognise and connect key drivers of change – such as public policy, legislative shifts, economic influences, demographic trends and workforce data.
You will bring:
* Tertiary qualification in a business or education related field, or equivalent experience.
* 4 years’ experience in relationship management, business development, network building or stakeholder engagement.
* A strong understanding of program management and financial principles and metrics.
* Demonstrated knowledge of the building and construction industry and the vocational education and training (VET) sector.
* A high level of digital literacy and a working understanding of information management systems – including intermediate Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Driver’s Licence.
