Senior Full Stack Engineer (m/f/d) - Home office possible
Your New Role:
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing our Deep Unity Discovery/RIS product, a next-generation radiology information system designed to enhance efficiency and accuracy in healthcare environments. While your primary focus will be on backend development, you will also contribute to the frontend, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.
Please note: This position requires a high level of presence at the Vienna location!
What You’ll Do:
* Design, develop, and optimize scalable backend services, ensuring high performance and reliability
* Contribute to frontend development using modern frameworks to create a seamless user experience
* Collaborate closely with architects, product owners, and fellow engineers to understand workflows and requirements within the healthcare sector
* Maintain high coding standards through automated testing, code reviews, and continuous integration
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges, proactively addressing technical debt
* Stay up to date with the latest technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve our tech stack
* Over time, become an expert in healthcare IT standards such asFHIR and DICOM
What You Bring:
* 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on backend technologies
* Expertise in Java-based frameworks like Quarkus (or similar) and microservice architectures
* Deep understanding of design patterns, cloud-native principles and software engineering best practices
* Proficiency in JPA/Hibernate, relational databases (Oracle/PostgreSQL), and RESTful APIs
* Hands-on experience with Docker and familiarity with Kubernetes.
* Strong commitment to software quality, with experience in automated testing (unit, integration) and CI/CD pipelines
* Familiarity with frontend technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue
* Proficiency with Git, Maven, and Linux
* Experience in agile development teams and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
* Fluent in English (written & spoken); German is a plus

Infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines

The minimum salary for this position is € 54.000,-- gross per year (38.5 working hours) according to the IT-collective agreement in Austria, an overpayment plus bonus arrangement depending on qualification/experience is self-evident for us.
