As a
DevOps / Platform Engineer
at
hokify
, you will design, build, and maintain the infrastructure and platform foundation that enables our engineering teams to deliver features quickly, reliably, and securely. Your work will power a scalable job platform used by hundreds of thousands of job seekers and employers. You'll help shape our cloud-native infra architecture — and drive automation across all stages of the software lifecycle.
You'll work closely with all types of engineers and product to ensure our services are resilient, observable, and easy to operate. This is a high-impact role with room to shape both technical direction and internal DevEx practices.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Design, implement, and manage scalable infrastructure using AWS Console as well as
Infrastructure as Code
(Terraform) in parts
* Improve and maintain our
CI/CD pipelines
, ensuring fast and safe deployments across environments
* Operate and optimize our
self-managed MongoDB cluster
, including backup strategies, high availability, and performance tuning
* Evolve our
Docker- and AWS-based
micro-service platform (ECS, ECR, Fargate, etc.)
* Monitor and enhance service
observability
using
Grafana Cloud
,
Sentry
, and some legacy CloudWatch
* Proactively address
platform security
topics (e.g., IAM policies, secret management, vulnerability scanning, network security)
* Champion
reliability, availability, and scalability
as first-class concerns
* Evaluate and introduce modern tooling and best practices in DevOps, SRE, and Platform Engineering

* Strong experience with
cloud infrastructure
(ideally AWS) and
container orchestration
(e.g., ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes)
* Solid expertise in
CI/CD
(GitHub Actions),
IaC
(Terraform), and production-grade
infrastructure automation and management
* Hands-on experience managing
self-hosted databases
— ideally MongoDB — including resilience, scaling, and tuning
* A strong understanding of
infrastructure security
: IAM roles, secure secret storage, audit logging, and compliance-aware thinking
* Programming experience (e.g.,TypeScript, Javascript, Python) to automate repetitive tasks and improve ops workflows
* Ownership mindset — you don't wait for tickets, you see problems and fix them
* Bonus: Familiarity with

The salary is from EUR 56,000 gross/year. Your actual salary will be agreed depending on your qualifications and experience.
