Join Terra Mater as a Junior Social Media Specialist and support collaboration management, content creation, and channel planning. You'll work with creators and influencers, develop eye-catching visuals, and help execute a posting calendar that captures the thrill of a space mission.
This is a fixed-term position running from March 2026 until September 30, 2027.
Job Description
Collaboration & Influencer Management
Manage and nurture collaborations with content creators and influencers across multiple digital platforms. This includes identifying suitable partners, coordinating joint activities, and ensuring consistent messaging and brand alignment to maximize reach, credibility, and engagement around an important space mission.
Content Creation & Production
Develop high-quality, visually compelling, and engaging content that effectively communicates the objectives and excitement of the space mission. This involves creating a diverse range of assets—such as photos, videos, and infographics—tailored to different platforms and audiences while maintaining a cohesive visual and narrative identity.
Content Strategy & Planning
Support the development and execution of a structured content calendar to ensure strategic, timely, and consistent communication. This includes planning themes, creating a post calendar across a wide range of channels, and aligning content releases with key milestones, campaigns, and platform-specific best practices.
Qualifications
First practical experience in social media, content creation, or digital communication gained through internships, working student roles, academic projects, or personal portfolios
Excellent English communication skills with the ability to create clear, engaging, and audience-oriented written and verbal content
Strong creative mindset with hands-on experience in developing visual assets, short-form videos, and social media content aligned with campaign and brand objectives
Basic to intermediate skills in short-form video editing and graphic design, with experience using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative working style, combined with strong time management skills and a genuine interest in science and space-related topics
Additional Information
Due to legal reasons we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary according to the collective agreement for this position, which is EUR 2.090 gross per month. However, our attractive compensation package is based on market-oriented salaries and is therefore significantly above the stated minimum salary.
