The SAL team is looking for a motivated and hands-on Junior R&D Service Engineer to help us maintain the high-quality standards of our cleanroom facilities and support smooth day-to-day operations. As a Junior R&D Service Engineer, you will apply and further develop your skills to provide service tasks within the SAL environment. You will gain insight into internal processes and engineering practices while receiving guidance and training from experienced team members.
Your tasks include:
* Organize and maintain the laboratory of several ISO clean rooms for semiconductor fabrication.
* Support daily cleanroom operations, such as waste management, refilling chemicals and supplies, users support.
* Monitor and replenish general lab consumables to ensure uninterrupted workflow.
* Manage and organize inventory, including issuing and restocking materials.
* Ensure compliance with safety protocols, operation guidelines and cleanroom standards consistently.
* Conduct routine chemical analyses, including titration and other testing procedures.
* Suggest and implement improvement ideas in terms of operation, organization, costs, efficiency, etc.
* Maintain close collaboration with CR Maintenance and Process Teams to ensure optimal operation.
We are looking for someone with:
* Completed technical or chemical education/training
* Previous experience in a similar role is of advantage
* Well-organized and detail-oriented with a structured working style
* Reliable, responsible, and committed to high safety and cleanliness standards
* Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team
* Native-level German skills and good command of English, both written and spoken

This position is subject to the Collective Agreement for employees in non-university research (Research CA) starting in occupational group C 1. We offer competitive salaries and additional benefits based on your experience and qualifications. For this position, your minimum monthly gross salary starts with EUR 2,776 (on full-time basis), paid 14 times a year.
