2 Assistant Professors, tenure track, qualification agreement. Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU) invites applications for two full-time positions in the Institute for Accounting and Auditing. The roles start July 01, 2026 or soon thereafter and end after six years, with a qualification agreement at the start of employment. Upon successful fulfillment of objectives, there is potential for a permanent position. After successful completion of the qualification agreement, employees may be classified as associate professors, with eligibility to apply for promotion to full professor after three years.

Institute for Accounting and Auditing · Fulltime, 40 hours/week

Salary: minimum monthly gross €5,808.20 (14 times per year), plus a range of social benefits. Travel and lodging expenses for invited job talks are refunded under usual terms.

 * PhD degree required or anticipated in the current academic year.
 * Provide an academic research paper (job market paper), preferably single-authored, published or publishable in a leading accounting journal.
 * Demonstrate active involvement in the international academic community (collaboration with coauthors, research visits, or presentations at leading conferences).
 * PhD from a university other than WU or at least two years of postdoctoral experience; international experience preferred (e.g., non-Austrian PhD or postdoc).
 * Ability to teach in English and commitment to teaching excellence; willingness to use multimedia methods; non-German speakers should commit to acquiring German proficiency.
