Overview
Role: As our Component Architect for System Administration, you will serve as the lead domain expert, coordinating the technical direction for system administration and cybersecurity within the Spectrum Power 7 solution. More specifically, you will be responsible for system administration and cybersecurity related topics, as well as other components and responsibilities that may be assigned to your team.
Responsibilities
As the lead domain expert, coordinating the technical direction for system administration and cybersecurity components, ensuring they meet functional, non-functional, and security requirements.
Providing essential technical direction to the Lead Engineers, who serve as the primary interface to project teams, ensuring architectural integrity and alignment in all project implementations.
Working in alignment with the overall Product Architect, ensuring your component's architecture integrates into the broader Spectrum Power 7 solution.
You actively support sales and bid activities by providing technical expertise, solution designs, effort estimations, and risk assessments.
You align the component architecture with the overall product architecture in close collaboration with the Product Architect.
You evaluate and introduce new technologies to continuously improve system performance and security.
You identify and mitigate technical risks across the software development lifecycle.
You ensure adherence to architectural standards, best practices, and quality through regular reviews and governance.
Leading and overseeing engineering and development activities for the installation and cybersecurity components in both product and project contexts.
Providing advice and design direction for project enhancements (PEs) to be integrated into the base product, ensuring architectural consistency and maintainability.
Collaborating with the overall product Release Train Management team to drive the evolution of the installation procedure and system setup, ensuring the architecture supports future product enhancements, strategic initiatives, and industry standards.
Qualifications
At least 5+ years of experience in a dedicated software architect role, or a senior technical role with significant architectural responsibilities focused on system administration and cybersecurity.
At least 7+ years of experience in software solution delivery and/or product development
Extensive technical knowledge and proven experience in software architecture and design, specifically with system administration, installation and cybersecurity.
Knowledge on the architecture of Spectrum Power 7 and its interfaces to other solutions
Demonstrated hands-on experience and architectural expertise in system administration and cybersecurity related topics
Hands-on experience with the Spectrum Power 7 solution or similar Grid Control Center systems, particularly their system installation and cybersecurity requirements
Experience with Agile development methodologies in a large-scale product development environment
Deep knowledge on customer requirements and how they can be implemented in the Spectrum Power 7 environment
Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills

The gross annual salary for this position, in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement for the electrical and electronics industry, is at least EUR 96,000. A higher salary is possible depending on education and experience.
