Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven
Head of Smartphone&IOT Business
to lead ZTE's Device portfolio in Austria, including
Smartphones and IoT products
across both
Operator
and
Open Market
channels.
This position acts as the
local business head
, responsible for market strategy, sales growth, and customer engagement in alignment with ZTE's global consumer strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership:
Develop and execute comprehensive market strategies for ZTE's Smartphones and IoT business in Austria to achieve sales and profitability goals.
2. Market Expansion & Sales Management:
Drive sales performance across Operator and Open Market channels; build and strengthen partnerships with operators, distributors, and retail partners to expand market share.
3. Product & Marketing Alignment:
Coordinate closely with HQ and regional product and marketing teams to ensure local market needs, pricing, and product positioning are aligned with ZTE's global roadmap.
4. Market Intelligence:
Conduct regular market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities, trends, and risks; provide strategic feedback to product and business teams.
5. Customer Engagement:
Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive C level relationship management, feedback integration, and continuous service improvement.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with internal stakeholders — including logistics, finance, and customer service — to ensure smooth business execution and operational excellence.
7. Financial Accountability:
Oversee budget planning, forecasting, and performance tracking for the Smart Device business in Austria to ensure healthy P&L outcomes.
8. Brand Representation:
Represent ZTE in Austria at industry events, media engagements, and with key partners, enhancing ZTE's brand visibility and reputation.
Qualifications:
1. Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Telecommunications, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
2. Experience:
Minimum of
5 years
in the mobile device or consumer electronics industry, with at least
3 years in a leadership role
covering Operator and/or Open Market channels.
3. Skills:
Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills. Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams. Excellent communication and presentations skills. In-depths knowledge of mobile device technology and market dynamics. Proficient in financial management and budget oversight.
4. Languages:
Fluent in
English and German
