Little Gems is seeking a passionate and experienced Assistant Director to join our team. We are looking for an experienced Assistant Director to assist in the day-to-day operations of the business, working alongside our current nominated supervisor. This position is ideally a 5-day non-contact role focused on mentoring and management. Although the role is non-contact, we believe that to achieve the best outcomes for children and to support and mentor educators, management should spend time in the rooms to role model and lead by example. The successful candidate must be willing to spend time in the rooms to assist with training, mentoring, and ensuring high-quality programs for children.

Role Requirements
* Minimum of Diploma qualification
* Experience as an Assistant Director/Educational Leader/Lead Educator
* A current and valid Working with Children Check
* Ability to coach and mentor fellow educators
* Strong leadership capabilities with a positive, fun, and proactive attitude
* Understanding of the National Education and Care Services Regulation and Law, Story Park, and Kidsoft
* Ability to monitor and implement changes to centre policies and assist educators in ensuring compliance and high-quality care
* Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate early childhood programs as per the EYLF
* Experience with Rating and Assessment processes and Quality Improvement Plans (QIP)
* Genuine respect for children and a long-term career interest in early childhood
* Positive interaction with prospective families
* Enthusiasm and passion for leading a team of educators and providing excellent child care education
* Flexible hours to support work-life balance; hours and days are negotiable for the right candidate
