Site Manager – Technical Facilities

The Role
A leading international general contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to support the delivery of complex technical facilities projects in Austria, based in Kronstorf.
Working closely with the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, to programme, and in accordance with quality and company standards on data centre, pharmaceutical, and industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities
Liaise with the Project Manager and provide regular progress updates
Supervise direct labour and contracted staff on site
Maintain continuous liaison with subcontractors and specialist trades
Carry out regular site and safety inspections, ensuring full compliance with HSE requirements
Check and review site reports, drawings, and design information
Maintain and enforce quality control procedures on site
Apply all company procedures, practices, and standards at all times
Assist the Project Manager with administrative and coordination tasks
Control changes, report deviations, and elevate issues to the project team
Carry out routine site inspections and monitor workmanship
Identify and implement work improvement recommendations
Execute project close-out activities and report lessons learned
Requirements
Proven experience as a Site Manager on construction projects
Background working for a general contractor or main contractor
Experience within technical facilities, industrial, pharmaceutical, or data centre projects preferred
Strong knowledge of site operations, sequencing, and coordination
Excellent understanding of health, safety, and quality requirements
Ability to lead site teams and manage subcontractors effectively
Fluent English required (German advantageous but not essential)
