Senior Category Manager (all genders)
As a Senior Category Manager, you will lead the global sourcing strategy for mechanical components and / or electric motors, ensuring cost competitiveness, supply stability, and long-term value creation. You'll collaborate closely with stakeholders and strategic suppliers to deliver sustainable performance improvements and commercial results within your category.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute a global category strategy aligned with business and market needs.
* Select, manage, and develop strategic suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and competitiveness.
* Lead price and contract negotiations and implement cost optimization initiatives
* Collaborate with R&D, Operations, Finance, Program Management and the global business entities
* Monitor category KPIs, supplier performance, and market trends to ensure continuous improvement.
* Manage escalations, process improvements and special projects in close collaboration with the management and stakeholders
Your Profile
* Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or similar field.
* Minimum 7+ years of experience in strategic purchasing or category management, ideally in automotive or industrial manufacturing.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical components or electric motor supply markets.
* Excellent negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
* Experience working in international, cross-functional environments and with high profile stakeholders.
* Fluent in English (German or other languages are an advantage).
* Ability to independently drive escalations and special projects and deliver results
