Job Introduction Frequentis Group with headquarters in Vienna is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. As an experienced Global Trade Compliance Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with international trade and customs regulations. You will navigate complex regulatory requirements with foresight, establish structures, processes, and awareness, and serve as a trusted point of contact for business, legal, and government authorities. Key Tasks
1. You oversee the overall trade compliance risk profile of the Frequentis Group and develop appropriate measures to minimize risks.
2. You act as the process owner for all processes carried out by trade compliance-specific roles.
3. You coordinate the trade compliance organization at the group level, harmonize standards, processes, and tools across legal entities, and thus avoid duplication of tasks and systems.
4. You serve as the company-wide escalation point for Trade Compliance Managers and responsible parties.
5. You continuously monitor regulatory and political developments in relation to the Frequentis Group's products and go-to-market strategies.
6. You develop and deliver training and education programs for employees.
Key Qualifications
7. Several years of solid professional experience in international export control and trade compliance – ideally in a technology-driven environment.
8. Comprehensive knowledge of European and international trade laws, including EU and US regulations on export and sanctions law.
9. Experience in building and managing corporate governance structures and internal control systems across the group, as well as in applying for permits from authorities in various countries.
10. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, high problem-solving competence, and confident demeanor in an international stakeholder environment.
11. Proven lateral leadership experience and excellent verbal and written communication skills in both German and English.
