About the Business
This is a large, multi-site poultry broiler farming operation based across Victoria (Geelong and Carisbrook, Maryborough), producing more than 20 million birds annually and continuing to grow.
The business has evolved from a family-founded operation into a privately backed enterprise with a strong operational backbone. It runs a fully circular farming model, including organic fertiliser production, responsible waste management and ongoing investment in renewable energy.
Performance is not aspirational here, it is measured and delivered. The operation achieves exceptional batch efficiency at scale, retains its key people long-term, and invests in technology and infrastructure where it directly improves outcomes.
About the Role
This is a newly created Chief Operating Officer role, established to take full ownership of day-to-day operations and allow the General Manager to focus on strategy, growth and future direction. The COO will be the operational backbone of the business, ensuring consistent, safe and profitable performance across all farms while strengthening systems, people and assets as the business continues to expand.
Reporting directly to the CEO/Managing Director, the COO will play a central role in scaling operations without compromising welfare, biosecurity or reliability. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who understands what high performance looks like on farm and knows how to deliver it consistently across multiple sites.
About You
You are an experienced operational leader within poultry or intensive livestock production, comfortable operating at scale and across multiple sites. You understand the realities of broiler operations, infrastructure, biosecurity and maintenance, and you are equally comfortable on farm as you are reviewing performance data and holding leaders to account.
You bring a commercial mindset, strong operational discipline and a leadership style that builds capability rather than dependence. You value systems, consistency and safety, and you have the credibility to lead experienced teams through both stability and growth.
