Position Overview
We are seeking a Data Insights Manager (m/f/d) for Boehringer Ingelheim’s global AI & Analytics Delivery team based in Vienna. This team is responsible for driving advanced analytics capabilities and delivering business‑critical insights within the Human Pharma (Marketing & Sales) domain, making them accessible to user groups across the globe. The role brings unique value by fostering insights, expertise, and collaboration across all markets, enhancing decision‑making in Human Pharma through high‑quality analytical expertise and standardized, consolidated insights.
Tasks & Responsibilities
* Manage and optimize standard reporting, including streamlining existing reports, prioritizing needs and driving the implementation of new reporting solutions.
* Define and structure new analyses and KPIs, collaborating proactively with business stakeholders to ensure analytical outputs meet strategic objectives.
* Engage regularly with regional operating units and global stakeholders to understand, anticipate, and address their analytical needs and business questions.
* Translate complex analytical and algorithmic outputs into clear, actionable insights tailored for business stakeholders, ensuring high usability and impact.
* Lead ad‑hoc, business‑critical analytical requests and cross‑country issue resolution, gathering requirements and promoting adoption of new analytical tools across the organization.
Requirements
* University degree in Economics, Business Informatics, Mathematics or Life Sciences, with 5–10 years of experience in a business analyst or business intelligence consulting role within the pharmaceutical industry (especially Human Pharma Marketing/Sales); additional expertise in Medical Affairs and/or Key Account Management is an advantage.
* Strong analytical capabilities, including proficiency in data visualization techniques and tools—particularly Tableau.
* Proven project and demand management experience, with familiarity with agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum) and tools such as the Atlassian Stack / Jira.
* Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., Oracle, Redshift, Snowflake) and SQL; experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a plus.
* Fluency in spoken and written English, with strong communication, presentation and facilitation skills; proficiency in German or additional languages is considered an asset.

The minimum gross annual salary for this position is €83,250 per year (full‑time) according to the classification in the collective bargaining agreement for the chemical industry. Depending on professional experience and qualifications, we offer an overpayment.
