At Siemens Energy, the Commercial Project Manager (f/m/d) serves as the key financial partner to technical project leadership, ensuring the commercial and financial integrity of projects from initiation through completion.
Responsibilities
Prepare and manage project calculations, financial forecasts, and evaluations throughout the project lifecycle.
Conduct detailed post‑calculations and single‑project controlling to analyze profitability and performance.
Analyze cost development, identify deviations from budget, and collaborate with the team to define and implement corrective measures.
Create and deliver regular commercial reports and financial status updates to management and stakeholders.
Support and execute project‑related month‑end closing activities in accordance with accounting standards.
Serve as the primary commercial partner to the Technical Project Manager, representing projects on all financial and contractual matters.
Conduct commercial risk evaluations in collaboration with sales and technical teams to identify and mitigate potential financial exposures.
Ensure commercial project execution adheres to all contractual obligations, internal regulations, and governance frameworks.
Manage project‑related invoicing, claims, and change orders in a timely and accurate manner.
Stakeholder Management & Process Improvement
Organize and lead project reviews and status meetings with the project team and management to ensure alignment on commercial topics.
Contribute to the digitalization and continuous improvement of commercial project management processes and tools.
Liaise with internal departments such as finance, legal, and supply chain to ensure seamless project execution.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
5+ years of professional experience in commercial project management, project controlling, or financial analysis.
Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or engineering environment is highly advantageous.
Proficiency with MS Office suite and SAP; experience with other IT tools for data analysis (e.g., Power BI) is a plus.
Fluent in both German and English (written and spoken).

Compensation Due to Austrian legal regulations we are obliged to state the minimum salary for this position: 54,439 € gross per year for a full‑time position (38.5 h/week). A willingness for higher compensation is considered based on your individual expectations, expertise, and skills.
