YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Responsibility for holistic E/E system architectures: Technical and strategic leadership role with responsibility for the development of end-to-end E/E systems – from logical structuring and function-oriented architecture concepts to physical implementation and integration
* Management of an interdisciplinary team of experts: Disciplinary and technical leadership of a cross-location team with a focus on E/E systems and components, logical architecture, integration & networking, control systems, and EMI/EMC
* Strategic development and expansion of the department: Active contribution to the further development of the department as part of the global growth strategy
* Customer proximity and technical sales support: Convincing technical presentation to customers and close cooperation with sales to ensure sustainable business development and trust building
* Technological leadership and innovation: Definition of systemic solution packages, active support for business development, and driving force for technological innovations in E/E system development
* International cooperation and knowledge management: Promotion of global process harmonization and active transfer of know-how within the international AVL network
YOUR PROFILE:
* Completed technical degree (University of Technology, University or University of Applied Sciences) with a focus on electrical engineering, mechatronics, automotive engineering or a related field
* At least 8 years of professional experience in E/E system development, in OEM, Tier-1 or in a technically oriented environment related to engineering data lists.
* In-depth knowledge of logical and physical system architecture, function-oriented networking, wiring harness development, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and the integration of complex E/E systems
* Experience in the disciplinary and technical management of large international teams (>30 employees) with the ability to recognize potential, develop talent in a targeted manner, and create a performance-oriented, motivated environment
* Strong communication skills, professional and confident manner at a technical and management level, strong negotiating skills, and a passion for innovative technology combined with entrepreneurial thinking
* Willingness to travel 10 percent of the time (primarily in the DACH region)
* Very good knowledge in German and English

Annual Remuneration: Due to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act we are obligated to state the annual gross remuneration (full-time) for this position as a basis for negotiation: The Employee will be classified according to the Collective Agreement for Employees of Industry (Collective Bargaining Agreement of the Automotive Industry). We will, in any case, offer market-conforming payment taking qualifications and professional experience into account.
