About Bitcredit Protocol
We are a community-driven open source project aiming to unlock Bitcoin adoption by businesses in the real economy. The initiative builds the missing credit money layer (M1) on top of Bitcoin's fixed base money layer (M0) on mainchain (L1).
Now we want to revise our initial wallet interface for a seamless UX, clear flows, professional but usable for normies at the POS and remotely.
About the Position
If you are a highly skilled UX/UI Designer we want you to lead the design.
You’ll work closely with our product manager, front-end developer and UX tester to deliver a wallet design that aligns with the Bitcoin ethos: it must be simple, smooth, and private, while signalling corporate grade solidity, elegance, and reliability.
Key requirements
* 3+ years experience designing mobile and web interfaces, ideally in Bitcoin
* Intuitive understanding of modern user experience design for mobile-first
* Proven experience with Figma and similar tools
* A clean portfolio showing your relevant UI/UX work
* A strong sense of beauty, elegance, layouts, and minimalism
* A personal conviction for Bitcoin, and wanting it as a true medium of exchange
Key Responsibilities
* Redesign the UI/UX of the Bitcredit reference wallet, with surgical changes.
* Build on patterns from existing e-cash wallets, but adapt for the duality of credit money for trade and outright bitcoin for finality
* Define layout, visual hierarchy, and interactions that make flows intuitive and smooth.
* Align your work with protocol constraints, Bitcoin-native UX principles, and the design language of our wholesale app for businesses.
* Collaborate closely with usability testers and developers in fast iterative cycles
Qualifications
Education:
* Degree in Design, Human-Computer-Interfaces, or equivalent practical experience
Technical Skills:
* Mastery of UX/UI best practices and design systems
* Experience with design for wallets, apps, especially Bitcoin, Lightning, or e-cash
* Ability to design for privacy, simplicity, mobile, and offline use
Soft Skills:
* Self-directed, logical thinker
* Excellent communication skills to bridge between different disciplines
* Strong appreciation for user sovereignty and Bitcoin-native design
