Overview
IT Support Engineer (Desktop/Network/EUC) role at EIL Global. On-call on a casual/adhoc basis with dispatch requirements. Onsite support for clients in Asia Pacific and EMEA. Location and client details vary by engagement.
Mode: On call - Casual Basis
Responsibilities and requirements are as follows.
Responsibilities
* Handle desktop and network issues.
* Install and upgrade operating systems.
* Install patches.
* Software and hardware break-fix.
* Work as a network engineer with foundational knowledge (CCNA or above is preferred).
* Basic understanding of Wi‑Fi.
* Understand basics of networks, LAN, WAN, switches, and router configuration.
* Install and administer MS Office.
* Communicate in business English; local language skills are a plus.
Tools/Equipment to Carry to Site
* Fully charged laptop with Windows 8 or Windows 10, with admin rights.
* Cisco console cable (DB9 to RJ45 or USB RJ45). If a USB converter is used, drivers must be properly installed.
* Required software on laptop: Putty, TeamViewer, TFTP server.
* Screwdriver set.
* Internet data card.
* Console capability for Cisco routers; ability to use Webex.
Qualifications
* Experience in handling desktop and network issues.
* Ability to install and upgrade operating systems and patches.
* Basic hardware and software break-fix capabilities.
* Good foundational network knowledge; CCNA or above is desirable.
* Basic understanding of Wi‑Fi, LAN, WAN, switches, and routers.
* Proficiency in MS Office.
* Strong business English communication skills; local language skills are a plus.
