UNIVERSAL LOCOMOTIVE DRIVER
Location: Austria
Overview
Operates freight locomotives, prepares trains, and ensures safe rail operations under Austrian/EU standards.
Age: 19-44
Weekly Hours: 38.5 (Shift-based -day/night, weekdays, weekends, public holidays)
Training Duration: 52 weeks
Salary: €37,235/year (trainee); €47,100/year post-training
Key Duties:
* Drive trains on mainlines and regional routes
* Conduct brake tests and pre-departure checks
* Monitor ETCS and signaling systems
* Identify and troubleshoot faults
* Coordinate with dispatch and control centers
Requirements
* Full 1-year locomotive driver training
* Fresher and experienced both can apply
* Train Driver License (after training)
* German B2 (mandatory)
* High mental and physical fitness

Requirements
Requirements: Completed training as a train driver 2+ years of working experience as a Locomotive Driver Completed apprenticeship, preferably in technical professions, or upper secondary level education Participation in periodic training and continuing education courses Successful periodic knowledge review Knowledge of German, both written and spoken (B2 level based on the European Framework of Reference for Languages)
