We are now looking for a Senior Financial Analyst – Emerging Markets, who will play a key role in supporting the financial leadership of one of Abbott’s largest business units.
What You’ll Be Doing
Financial Leadership & Business Partnership
* Support P&L and balance sheet management for the EM region, including planning, forecasting, scenario modelling, and risk analysis.
* Partner with the Assistant Controller and cross‑functional leaders on strategic initiatives such as L&A projects, business structure changes, and divestments.
* Provide insights on top- and bottom‑line trends and help guide strategic decision‑making.
Budgeting, Analysis & Insights
* Lead SG&A investment analysis, including budget development, tracking, and ROI evaluations for commercial activities.
* Deliver timely, accurate, and meaningful financial analysis to support sound decisions.
* Prepare key deliverables: LBE decks, S&OP reviews, business review reports, and financial schedules.
Process Improvement & Reporting
* Develop smart, efficient reporting tools and templates to enhance planning and analytics.
* Drive improvements in processes and financial evaluation methods across the region.
* Influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders to implement recommended changes.
What You Bring
Education
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent.
* MBA or advanced degree from a recognized institution is a strong advantage.
Experience
* 5–10 years’ experience in a dynamic, high‑performance environment; pharma experience required.
* Experience at affiliate and/or regional level in finance leadership roles.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Solid knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS, SOX requirements, and pharma compliance frameworks.
* Strong Excel and SAP skills; experience with Abbott is a plus.
