Together with our customers in the automotive industry, we develop, test and industrialize innovative Lithium-Ion Battery packs for hybrid and electric vehicles. The technology center of Samsung SDI Battery Systems is located in Kalsdorf, Austria, close to Graz. Your core responsibilities are: * Explore, innovate, and validate cutting-edge technologies that shape the future of mobility * Develop innovative concepts for next-generation battery systems * Perform 3D thermal simulation (FE/CFD) of cooling systems for automotive batteries * Calculate gas release behavior of battery cells and its impact on the overall system * Develop models for thermodynamic systems What you need is: * Completed technical degree (e.g. mechanical engineering, energy technology, physics) * Experience in the thermal design of components * Software skills for thermodynamic calculations (mostly in 3D), e.g. STAR-CCM, Ansys Fluent, Matlab, Python * Self-motivated, curious and driven by impact * Strong communication and collaboration skills in interdisciplinary teams * German language skills are a plus, but not mandatory Our offer for you: With regard to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act, we offer the following annual gross remuneration (full time/38.5 hours) as a basis for negotiations for this position: EUR 53.500.- We also offer a market-standard overpayment depending on relevant work experience and qualifications.
