The Role
We’re looking for a passionate, hands-on Op Shop Manager to lead our team and oversee day-to-day operations. This role is perfect for someone who loves people, thrives in a retail environment, and is motivated by social impact.
* Manage daily shop operations, including opening/closing, merchandising, and cash handling
* Lead, support, and roster a team of staff and volunteers
* Assist with recruitment, on-boarding, orientation and training of new members
* Maintain high standards of customer service and store presentation
* Coordinate stock intake, sorting, pricing, and display
* Implement initiatives to increase customers and drive sales
* Maintain the online shop and social media
* Coordinate The Ashy Op Shop Volunteers Program
About you
* Proven people management skills and experience, and can inspire your team
* A creative eye for merchandising and product presentation
* High level interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
* Ability to work autonomously and make sound decisions
* Passion for sustainability, second-hand goods, and community service
* Knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Office Suite and ecommerce platforms
* Experience managing and coordinating volunteers (highly desirable)
* Desire to make a real difference and work within the values of BASScare
* Certificate in Retail Operations / Diploma of Business (highly desirable)
* Current Satisfactory Police Check or NDIS Workers Screening Check (or willing to obtain one)
Hours of work and location
* Permanent Full Time
* Mondays to Fridays, 9:00am – 5:06pm
* Location: Ashburton
Salary and Benefits
* $70K - $75K + super + salary packaging (depending on qualifications and experience)
