Your Mission
You will make an impact that matters by:
Contribute to smooth finance operations at Bitmovin, strive for constant process optimization and quality of data while adhering to the 80/20 rule
Co‑own the annual budgeting process and monthly rolling forecasts, and collaborate across departments to ensure alignment with our strategic goals.
Co‑own the development and maintenance of SaaS‑specific & business performance KPIs, analyze them for trends and improvements.
Co‑own short‑term and long‑term liquidity planning, optimizing cash flow.
Deep‑dive into single areas of the business in collaboration with respective teams to identify cost‑saving and efficiency opportunities
Ensure accurate and timely reporting for the management, board and investors, and provide insightful analysis.
Partner with the accounting team to streamline the month‑end and year‑end closing processes, and contribute to financial audits (both locally in Austria and globally).
Handle ad‑hoc requests from management autonomously and create compelling presentations for informed decision‑making.
Liaise with the Revenue Ops team: review deals, track revenue, assist in calculating sales commissions & scorecards
Manage documentation and filings for grants, R&D tax credits (research premium), and other local financial incentives
What you are
The "Full‑Stack" Professional: You have a solid foundation in accounting (you know your way around a P&L and Balance Sheet) but a heart for FP&A (you love building models that tell a story).
Systems Thinker: You are highly proficient in Excel and have experience managing or optimizing ERP systems. You prefer automation over manual entry.
Ownership Mindset: You don't wait for a checklist. You see a process that is broken or data that is messy, and you take the initiative to fix it.
Communicator: You can translate complex financial data into actionable insights for both the CFO and non‑financial stakeholders.
What should you bring
Demonstrable experience in a fast‑paced finance environment (SaaS/Tech or high‑growth business experience is a major plus).
Educational background (bachelor or higher) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Eagerness to learn how a modern tech scale‑up operates
Passion for data analytics with high attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, critical thinking
Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, cost controlling, and budgeting
High proficiency in MS Excel and/or Google Sheets
Fluent written and verbal communication skills (English, German is a plus)
Understanding of SaaS / Scale‑up economics is a plus
Experience in working with NetSuite is a plus
Some experience in working with databases / SQL / simple coding (e.g. Google BigQuery) is a plus
Experience with R&D public grants (e.g. Austrian "Research premium" / "Forschungsprämie") is a plus
