As a Component Engineer, you will be responsible for selecting, evaluating, testing, and integrating components into our products and systems. Your expertise will ensure that our components meet technical requirements, are reliable, and enhance the performance of the final product.
Responsibilities
* Identify and select components based on technical specifications, cost, availability, and reliability to meet project requirements
* Evaluate and collaborate with suppliers to ensure a reliable and high-quality component supply chain
* Conduct rigorous tests to verify the performance, durability, and reliability of components under various conditions
* Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including specifications, test reports, and bills of materials (BOM)
* Work closely with design, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless integration of components into the final product
* Analyze and resolve issues related to component performance or integration to maintain project timelines and quality standards
* Contribute to long-term strategies for component selection and management to support the company’s innovation and efficiency goals
Qualifications
* A degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
* Preferably 5+ years of experience in component engineering or a related role in industries such as automotive, aerospace, telecommunications, semiconductors, or medical technology
* Deep knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical components, including their design and application
* Familiarity with testing methodologies and equipment for evaluating component performance and reliability
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and suppliers
* Proven ability to analyze technical challenges and develop effective solutions
* Experience in project management methodologies to support efficient workflows and meet deadlines
* Excellent English proficiency; German language skills are a plus

We offer competitive salaries and additional benefits based on your performance, experience and qualifications. The employment is in accordance with the collective salary and wage agreement for employees of the electrical and electronics industry. The monthly salary is paid 14 times p.a. We offer a higher compensation depending on your expertise and skills.
