To enhance our successful Production Team in Leoben, Austria, we are looking for a passionate production supervisor in the plating department.
Production Supervisor - Plating Department
In this role, you ensure smooth 24/7 operations, achieve quality and delivery targets, and lead a large production team. You safeguard personnel and product integrity, drive process optimization, and manage resources and interfaces to maintain stable and efficient production.
Your Responsibilities
* Lead and develop the production plating team in a continuous five‑shift operation
* Plan and steer production and staffing to meet output, quality, cost, and schedule targets
* Apply 6S and Lean principles to standardize processes and reduce work‑in‑progress
* Ensure full compliance with EHS, foreign material prevention and all personnel & product protection standards
* Support the introduction and optimization of the MES system
* Monitor KPIs, perform audits and initiate corrective actions when needed
* Maintain clear, consistent production documentation (e.g., shift handover checklists)
* Coordinate closely with internal partners regarding production status, maintenance requirements, and run rates
* Hire production operators from diverse educational backgrounds and ensuring they receive effective, structured onboarding and technical training
* Promote best‑practice technical training standards in a complex, fast‑changing international production environment
Your Profile
* Technical qualification such as HTL, or proven equivalent experience
* Leadership of large production teams, ideally in a continuous five‑shift environment
* Fluency in German; basic English skills.
* Strong communicator with an organized, structured working style
* Analytical, data‑driven mindset with interest in technical details
* Hands‑on, proactive, resilient, flexible, and results‑oriented
* Confident user of MS Office and SAP
