We are looking for experienced
Network Security Engineers
to join a long-term engagement with our client in Vienna. This opportunity is best suited for professionals with a solid background in
Fortinet
,
Checkpoint
, and
F5 technologies
, who are comfortable working in high-security, large-scale network environments.

This role requires a
20% monthly on-site presence in Vienna
, with the remaining time available for remote work.
Project Environment
You will work within a
complex and segmented network infrastructure
, consisting of thousands of interconnected components. Firewalls define security zones, and your role will be pivotal in maintaining secure communication paths and implementing effective security policies across these segments.
Key Responsibilities
* Analyze and validate connectivity requests across different network zones
* Design and implement network security configurations including routing, NAT, and policy enforcement
* Deploy and manage changes in accordance with internal security standards and regulatory compliance
* Act as a technical advisor to internal teams and external partners
* Work closely with the firewall and load balancing teams to ensure optimal system performance and availability
* Utilize
F5 technologies
(LTM, ASM, etc.) for traffic management and application delivery security
Ideal Candidate Profile
* In-depth expertise with Fortinet and Checkpoint firewalls
* Hands-on experience with F5 products
, especially in enterprise-scale environments
* Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols, and secure network design
* High attention to detail and commitment to quality and precision
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Previous work in
regulated environments
such as banking or finance is highly valued
* Fluent in English & Business German .
