The Goal
We are looking for a talented and motivated Data Pipeline Engineer to join our team.
What you’ll be doing
* Design, develop and maintain cloud data infrastructure, including data pipelines, warehouses, and ETL processes.
* Collaboration with front-end and backend developers to ensure smooth interfaces
* Analysing and optimising the performance of existing data streams
* Troubleshoot and analyze data input issues' root causes
* Participation in code reviews and continuous improvement of our development processes
* Documentation and testing of the developed solutions
The Player
What you’ll bring
* A Bachelor\'s degree in a traditional science subject, ideally computer science, engineering or information systems from a well regarded university;
* At least 3 years relevant experience in data engineering
* Sound knowledge of SQL for designing, querying, and managing relational databases.
* A good understanding of databases (SQL and NoSQL)
* Exposure to cloud technologies (GCP)
* Development within Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
* Excellent teamwork skills within an agile team environment
* Able to deal with changing priorities and based on requirements agreed with senior team members including, BA\'s QA\'s and software architects
* Experience in the use of Git (GitHub)
* Good English skills, both spoken and written
Nice to Have
* Experience in developing Cloud Composer / Apache Airflow workflows
* Experience in developing pipelines with Dataflow / Apache Beam
