Remote or Hybrid Role for a Senior Rostering Coordinator
Interactive Community Care (ICCare) was established in 2010 as a specialist in the Community Services Sector and has now proudly served the people of NSW for more than a decade. A multidisciplinary community care organisation, we provide Out-of-Home Care (OOHC), crisis support and disability services. Supporting families across NSW in the Hunter, Central Coast, Sydney, Mid-North Coast and Western regions, Interactive Community Care is committed to meeting the complex care needs of children, adolescents, and adults.
We are currently recruiting a Senior Rostering Coordinator to join our fast-paced operations team. The team is based in Seven Hills, Sydney and Thornton, Newcastle, however; you could be located any city in Australia as this is a work from home, or hybrid role, if you prefer. We are proud to be partnering with the Lumiere Foundation to offer this opportunity. You will be employed by Lumiere Foundation for work onsite with ICCare. This is an opportunity to join an outstanding team and take part in Interactive Community Care's rapid growth.
As our Senior Rostering Coordinator, you\'ll lead the strategic and operational management of workforce scheduling across our OOHC and NDIS programs. This senior role ensures rostering practices are compliant with the SCHADS Award, optimised for workforce utilisation, and responsive to the real-world needs of both our clients and the dedicated staff who support them.
Using MYP, you\'ll manage end-to-end scheduling, from designing rosters and handling real-time adjustments to escalating risks such as under/over-staffing, overtime exposure, and service gaps. Your work will directly influence care continuity, operational efficiency, and compliance outcomes.
You'll collaborate closely with People & Culture, Finance, Compliance, and Service Delivery to drive workforce planning, manage complex rostering scenarios, and lead continuous improvement initiatives. As the role evolves, you'll also take on leadership of a small rostering team, fostering a culture of accuracy, responsiveness, and collaboration.
This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment and brings advanced problem-solving, systems thinking, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Scheduling: Develop and optimise rosters using MYP, ensuring alignment with client plans, staff capacity, and compliance standards.
Real-Time Coordination: Manage shift changes due to sick leave, cancellations, and emergencies, ensuring seamless service delivery.
Compliance Oversight: Monitor qualifications, fatigue risks, and shift caps. Ensure all rostering practices meet SCHADS Award, NDIS and OOHC regulatory standards.
Risk Escalation: Identify and escalate risks related to under- or over-staffing, overtime exposure, and service gaps to relevant stakeholders, ensuring proactive resolution and continuity of care.
Team Leadership: Mentor junior rostering staff and lead rostering-related meetings. Foster a culture of accuracy, responsiveness, and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with People & Culture, Finance, Compliance, and Service Delivery teams to support workforce planning, service standards, and operational transparency.
