Samsung SDI Battery Systems is a global technology leader in e-mobility. Together with our customers in the automotive industry, we develop, test and industrialize innovative Lithium-Ion Battery packs for hybrid and electric vehicles.
The technology center of Samsung SDI Battery Systems is located in Kalsdorf, Austria, close to Graz.
Your core responsibilities are:
* As a Strategic Buyer, you will continuously monitor supplier markets, identify trends and risks at an early stage, and provide deep expertise on cost structures and processes of your assigned components.
* You will be accountable to develop a strong and competitive supply base for the assigned components in alignment with global SCM strategy and close cooperation with internal stakeholders.
* You will supervise the supplier onboarding process from first contact up to supplier release and will establish strong partnerships with strategic supplier.
* As part of interdisciplinary expert teams, you will help to shape the future of e-mobility and play a key role in securing our companys long-term goals.

What you need is:
* Completed technical or commercial education
* 5+ years of experience in purchasing (preferably in automotive industry)
* Solid expertise in commercial and contract law
* Deep experience in metal manufacturing processes (stamping, extrusion, casting) is a plus; willingness to build expertise in this area is essential
* Logical mindset combined with a structured manner of thinking
* Strong communication and negotiations skills
* Proactive, structured, and future-oriented way of working
Our offer for you:
With regard to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act, we offer the following annual gross remuneration (full time/38.5 hours) as a basis for negotiations for this position: EUR 65.000,-
We also offer a market-standard overpayment depending on relevant work experience and qualifications.
