You will play a crucial role in the development of cutting-edge carbon capture systems, working closely with our technology development team to create innovative concepts for modularization, standardization, and service processes.
In the carbon capture department in Raaba, we are looking for a Process Engineer (m/f/d).
Your Tasks
1. Develop innovative concepts for modularization, standardization, and service processes of our systems with the technology development team.
2. Collaborate with project management and disciplines such as piping, layout, static and rotating equipment, electrical, and automation during proposal and engineering phases.
3. Prepare mass and energy balances, process flow diagrams (PFD), and piping and instrumentation diagrams (PID).
4. Calculate media consumption for utilities (electricity, water, chemicals) and gather required media quality data.
5. Collect and provide emission data related to effluent, heat, noise, and gases.
6. Design and size CO2 purification sub-systems (e.g., CO2 dryer) and components (e.g., CO2 compression and liquefaction).
7. Specify and select sub-supplied equipment.
8. Develop plant process and control logic descriptions.
9. Participate in commissioning, start-up, and optimization activities.
Your Profile
1. Customer-focused with a proactive attitude, ownership of performance, and team commitment.
2. Master's or PhD degree in process engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
3. Practical experience in process engineering, preferably in carbon capture or CO2 compression/liquefaction technologies.
4. Fluent in English (min. B2); proficiency in German and other languages is advantageous.
5. Proficient in PC tools such as Aspen Plus.
6. Strong communication skills for technical discussions and negotiations; team-oriented.
7. Structured, solution-oriented, and proactive work approach.
8. Willingness to travel internationally and work with diverse cultures.

In Austria, the minimum gross monthly salary for this position is €4,407.20. We offer a market-based salary depending on your qualifications and experience.
