Our Client is a highly respected construction, maintenance and Hard FM services provider operating across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore. Known for their reliability, responsiveness and ability to deliver quality outcomes across commercial, retail, government, civil and solar projects, they are a business with strong momentum and a loyal client base.
We are seeking an experienced Business Operations Manager to join their small, capable team to support current growth and play a pivotal role in strengthening operational performance and service delivery.
About the Role
This is a hands‑on, varied and impactful position. You’ll be the operational anchor of the business – coordinating FM services, managing trades, supporting project delivery and ensuring clients receive exceptional service.
Based in their office in Melbourne’s vibrant inner south‑east (car park provided) you’ll work closely with the directors and a tight‑knit team who value initiative, accountability and genuine teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day‑to‑day operations across FM, maintenance, and project works
Manage and coordinate trades, subcontractors, and suppliers across multiple sectors
Prepare estimates, quotes, scopes of work and project documentation
Support end‑to‑end project delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets and quality standards are met
Maintain strong client relationships and uphold service excellence
Assist with scheduling, resource planning and operational reporting
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency

Experience in Hard FM services, building maintenance, construction operations or similar
Strong capability in estimating, quoting and coordinating project works
Experience managing trades and subcontractors
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Engineering background desirable but not essential
