Known for our wide range of quality products and exceptional customer service, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced 3IC, to help us continue to deliver outstanding service to our customers and their pets.
Role Overview
As the 3IC Retail Manager at Habitat Pet Supplies, you will be responsible for providing a high level of support to the Store Manager and Assistant Manager with the day-to-day operations of our well-established North Melbourne location, ensuring effective team management and efficiency in the completion of delegated operational tasks, accurate cash management, inventory management, merchandising and compliance of workplace health and safety obligations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of the store, inclusive of open and close procedures, inventory management and visual merchandising.
2. Lead the team with exceptional communication skills to achieve daily tasks.
3. Provide an outstanding level of customer service.
4. Be experienced in using POS and inventory management software.
5. Be proactive and have a positive, can-do attitude.
6. Have a calmness to work under pressure.
7. Have a genuine love and concern for the well-being of animals.
8. Be prepared to take responsibility for the operation of the store in the absence of the Managers.
9. Be committed to working in line with WHS policies and procedures.
Key Skills
1. Proven experience in a management role within a retail environment.
2. Strong leadership skills with a history of successfully supporting and motivating teams.
3. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
4. Excellent organisational skills and problem-solving ability.
5. Commitment to Workplace, Health and Safety standards and procedures.
6. Flexibility with work hours, including weekends and public holidays.
7. Experience working in the pet industry would be highly regarded, but is not essential. Heavy lifting of up to 20kgs will be required as part of the role.
