Business Development Representative (BDR) - German Speaker
Open Systems is looking for a proactive Business Development Representative fluent in German and English to drive new business opportunities within the German mid‑market segment (500 to 25,000 users). You will engage prospects through targeted outreach, qualification, and discovery, positioning Open Systems’ suite of solutions including SASE, SSE, SD‑WAN, and Global Connectivity.
Responsibilities
* Generate a targeted number of accepted opportunities by assessing client needs and handing the opportunity to the appropriate Sales team member.
* Research and build prospect accounts, identifying new sales opportunities through outbound efforts (e.g., emails, cold calls, event‑based campaigning, content and vertical campaigns, and social media).
* Cultivate leads by assessing the opportunity, communicating the value proposition for the customer, and following up in a timely manner.
* Build and maintain relationships with key executives and decision‑makers.
* Generate and conduct due diligence on inbound leads.
* Maintain open communication with the sales team to discuss territory information and further qualify targets.
* Track and maintain prospects and update contact information in Salesforce.com.
* Ensure accurate Salesforce data entry of own activities once the opportunity has been handed off.
* Report on territory and lead activity to the manager.
* Assimilate product and market knowledge and effectively communicate benefits and feature set of Open Systems to prospects over the telephone.
* Work with marketing to develop programs that generate high‑quality leads.
* Demonstrate thought leadership with customers and stay apprised of industry trends through social media channels.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree.
* Fluent in German and English.
* At least 3 years of inside sales experience, preferably in technology sales.
* Strong prospecting skills including cold calling, email, and social media outreach.
* Driven to succeed in a fast‑paced environment.
* A passion for building new business.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Proficient time‑management, prioritization, and initiative.
* Prior experience with Salesforce.
