Your main tasks and responsibilities * This Master's project is intended to complement your education and provide you with insight into the work and activities of the R&D department of a pharmaceutical company. * The project should last 6 months, and supervision of a master's thesis on the topic of "Process digitalization & automation" is offered * Supporting the Vienna R&D team with the following tasks: * Expansion of the digital laboratory environment * Development of automated workflows for novel and established unit operations * Developing and applying process models for advanced process control * Validation of the developed tools and interpretation of the results * Documentation within the scope of the above-mentioned tasks Your expertise and ideal skill set * Student with a scientific or process engineering background, preferably in the fields of biotechnology, bioprocess engineering, biomedical engineering, or similar * Interest in writing a master's thesis on "Process digitalization & automation" * Mandatory lab courses during the studies are completed * Interest in learning new methods * High motivation and willingness to learn * Very good knowledge of spoken and written English * Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office * Team player * High interest in acquiring experience in the research and development department of a pharmaceutical company * Personal responsibility, flexibility, and ability to work in a team * Precise way of working Your department - where you make an impact * We, the Research & development department, conduct preclinical and clinical research to develop new products and ensure their safe and effective use.
