Overview
Communications Manager - DACH region (f/m/d) at Thinkproject. The role focuses on driving Thinkproject’s reputation, visibility, and thought leadership within the DACH region, translating the global narrative into locally relevant stories for customers, partners, and stakeholders.
What your day will look like
As Regional Communications Manager, you will shape how our brand is perceived by external audiences and collaborate with Product Marketing Managers and Campaign Managers to ensure the public-facing voice in the region aligns with regional priorities and market insights. You will engage with global functions and the local sales team to ensure messaging is market-relevant.
Key Responsibilities
* Brand Awareness & Thought Leadership: Drive brand awareness and recognition with regional target audiences; translate the global brand narrative into regional relevance; ensure alignment with global guidelines and local priorities.
* External Communication & Editorial Planning: Lead all external communications across media, owned digital channels, and industry platforms in the region; create and own the regional communication and editorial plan; localize narratives into regional languages and contexts.
* Owned Media & Social Presence: Grow and engage audiences via owned channels; launch and manage the regional newsletter; own the regional videocast/podcast series from planning to promotion.
* Media, Influencers & Partnerships: Identify and engage regional influencers; build partnerships with media and industry associations; support speaker engagements at conferences; secure public awards and recognitions.
* Executive & Employee Advocacy: Elevate regional executives’ profiles and partner with Internal Communications for employee advocacy programs.
* Collaboration & Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with Product Marketing Managers and Campaign Managers; share best practices with global teams.
* Performance Tracking & Innovation: Report on communications performance with data-driven insights; use AI tools to enhance content creation and planning; experiment with new formats and tactics.
What you need to fulfill the role
* Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field.
* Proven experience in communications, PR, or brand management, ideally in B2B or technology industries.
* Proven track record of raising the profile and awareness of a B2B brand in the DACH region with measurable outcomes.
* Strong skills in storytelling, content creation, and media relations.
* Native German language proficiency; fluent English.
* Experience managing social media channels and digital campaigns.
* Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.
* Strong project management skills and cross-functional collaboration.
* Comfortable using AI tools and adopting new digital communication technologies.
