The Oesterreichische Nationalbank (OeNB) as a member of the Eurosystem is an active participant in the development of the digital euro and part of the partner consortium “Alliance for the Digital Euro”, which has a key role in its development, introduction, and operation, with the OeNB assuming a leading, strong, and reliable role within this consortium.
To strengthen our team, we are seeking a Squad Business Leader for the “Fee Management” functional team supporting the development of the Alliance for the Digital Euro.
Business Lead in “Fee Management” for the Digital Euro Project

Ihre Aufgaben
* Vision and Roadmap: Gather and define Fee management business requirements together with ECB and other stakeholders; develop and communicate the product vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with ECB and key stakeholders. Analyse regulatory changes, and assess feasibility of new fee structures.
* Product Backlog Management: Lead backlog creation, prioritization and maintenance of fee management initiatives; support the Product Owner in development, execution and communication of the overall fee strategy and roadmap.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Manage internal/external stakeholder relationships (e.g., ECB, service providers) to ensure clear communication of goals related to fee structures and pricing models.
* Sprint Planning: Active participation in sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives, supporting the Scrum Master in facilitating discussions to ensure team alignment on objectives.
* Drafting of User Story and Functional Documentation: Ensure that the squad drafts high‑quality user stories (for new developments and for bug fixing) and relevant test cases with clear acceptance criteria to effectively communicate product functionality to the development team, and provides functional documentation for the project.
* Quality Assurance: Work with the QA team to ensure product quality and that user requirements are met before releases to the user environment.
* Support to User and Production Environments: Provide adequate support to the client and users, answering requests and analysing potential issues.
* Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by gathering feedback, analysing metrics and iterating on product features and processes.
Ihr Profil
* University degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or Engineering desirable.
* Excellent written and oral command in English (min. C1) and good German skills (B2).
* A minimum of five years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role in software development projects, with a proven track record of managing successful product releases.
* Understanding of fee/billing logic and its settlement at TARGET or Financial Institutions, or Card companies (ICS).
* Profound knowledge in banking and payment ecosystems, and/or card products and processes.
* Experience leading teams (5+ people), ideally multi‑cultural; high level of commitment, flexibility and team spirit.
* Analytical, data‑driven mindset; excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills (incl. institutions and service providers).
* Knowledge of agile methodologies and SAFe principles and familiarity with project management tools (JIRA, Confluence).
* Familiarity with software development practices (DevOps, CI/CD) desirable.

According to Austrian law, it is required to post a minimum salary, which for this position is 54.315 EUR (Bachelor) for full‑time (38.5 h/week). If you have higher qualifications and relevant previous experience, you may be offered higher pay.
