This season-long, hands-on apprenticeship runs from March to November 2026, allowing participants to experience the full cycle of market gardening. The program combines online studying of theMarket Gardener Institute Masterclass Certificatewith practical fieldwork, assignments, and personal mentoring.It is designed for aspiring or emerging growers who want to work professionally in small-scale, regenerative vegetable production.
Specific responsibilities rotate so that every participant can take the lead in the following areas:
* Nursery & propagation
* Field-Cultivation & Irrigation systems
* Specialty crop – Tomato & cucumber tunnels
This rotation ensures that each apprentice gains both technical skills and leadership experience in every key area of the farm.
The apprenticeship is more than an academic credential — it serves as a bridge between education and employment. Upon completion, graduates can present proof of structured training and experience in market gardening whilefarms will be able to find qualified workersthrough the global market gardener network of the MGI FarmSchool.

Costs:the costs for the traineeship are split in 3 different parts to reflect the increasing value of your contribution to the farm over the season:
* Phase 1 (March–Mai): Fee of € 1,000/month for food, accommodation and all training and educational resources, including hands-on farming practice.
* Phase 2 (Juni–August): No cost, no pay; food, accommodation and training are provided, with hands-on farming practice.
* Phase 3 (September–November): Payment of € 1,000/month net in addition to food, accommodation and training, and hands-on farming practice.
* Special price for purchasing the Online Masterclass course, recommended for personal progress tracking and certification
