We’re seeking a Financial Controller to oversee and report on personnel and functional costs (Procurement, Sales, Finance, HR, R&D, etc.) across the group, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. This role will provide functional leaders with visibility into organizational costs, support planning processes (budgets, forecasts, long-term plans), and contribute to ESG reporting initiatives (e.g., travel, energy spend).
You’ll also partner with HR and support function leaders on strategic projects and manage intercompany billings in collaboration with the Group Tax team.
Responsibilities
* Finance business partnership: Act as Finance Business partner for the support functions leaders (Procurement, Sales, Finance, HR, R&D,…etc.) to drive cost optimization across the group. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between finance and support functions’ teams.
* Financial Control: Ensure implementation of group policies, correct cost recognition and reporting (e.g. accruals calculation, appropriate costing geography,…etc.). Provide oversight, reporting and forecasts monthly for holding entities costs and lead their respective financial reporting processes (including FTE reporting, capex reporting,…etc.). Maintain list of intercompany cross charges to and from Holding entities and approve/reject or initiate cross charges in alignment with Group Tax Leader.
* Financial Reporting and Planning: Maintain monthly consolidated dashboard & report for functional cost. Oversee and analyze functional costs and non-financial metrics, including personnel costs, FTEs, Temps, other costs (e.g. T&L, consulting…etc.). Provide analysis of cost evolution vs plans and identify drivers of changes. Identify exceptional costs for normalizations reporting. Own standard and ad-hoc group reporting for functional costs including monthly updates to functional leaders. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, aligning with overall financial policies and objectives. Own preparation of functional budgets in partnership with relevant functional leaders including long-term plans, and short-term forecasts to ensure comprehensive financial planning in line with group guidelines and defined assumptions.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with accounting team in financial close, annual audit, and external reporting (e.g. ESG or Government statistical reporting). Active participation in group projects related to the functional costs areas and cross-functional activities such as ERP implementations. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of financial processes. Support Treasury and Tax teams in executing relevant financial processes. Support group central functions e.g. procurement, sales…etc. where needed including periodic or ad hoc analytics, or finance operations requests in alignment with Group Finance team. Drive and contribute to corporate projects and strategic initiatives as required.
Qualifications
* 2-3 years of relevant professional experience in Financial Controlling or External Audit function.
* Bachelor or Master degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
* Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; advanced skills in Excel and financial modelling.
* Ability to synthesize complex topics for senior management.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and preferably German.
