Focus on three primary areas: hands-on project execution and site management, strategic project planning and risk mitigation, and comprehensive stakeholder communication and coordination. This structure ensures end-to-end control from initial planning through to final delivery.
How You Can Make an Impact:
1. On-Site Construction Management & ExecutionLead and manage all on-site activities for major industrial construction projects, ensuring alignment with project timelines and budgets (on-site construction management for new & complex industrial build projects in Austria)Oversee contractors and execution teams to guarantee compliance with Siemens Energy's quality standards, sustainability guidelines, and safety protocols.Monitor project progress, conduct site inspections, and resolve any on-site issues to maintain project momentum and quality.Ensure all construction activities adhere to local Austrian legal and operational requirements.
2. Project Planning, Strategy & Risk ManagementDefine project scope, establish strategic execution plans, and oversee the entire project lifecycle from design and tendering to contractor selection.Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks (financial, schedule, quality) to prevent delays and cost overruns.Develop and maintain detailed project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and progress reports.Support sustainability initiatives by integrating energy efficiency measures and pursuing green building certifications.
3. Stakeholder Management & DigitalizationServe as the primary point of contact and facilitate collaboration between internal teams, external consultants, contractors, and local authorities.Manage communication with all project stakeholders, providing regular updates and ensuring alignment on project goals and milestones.Partner with the Digital Acceleration team to implement and optimize digital project management tools and processes.Coach and review the work of lower-level professionals or team members involved in the project.
What You Bring
4. Master’s degree or equivalent in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, MEP Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
5. 3-5 years of professional experience managing construction projects for industrial facilities, preferably in an international context.
6. Specialized expertise in construction management for industrial facilities.
7. Proven experience in managing large projects, strong stakeholder communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential for success.
8. Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) or International Project Management Association (IPMA)
9. Very good communication and leadership skills and expertise
10. Knowledge of English and German languages - advanced / native level.
