Do you have a passion for optomechatronic systems – and want more than just designing?Then help shape the next generation of our high-precision projectors at IN-VISION.Your ResponsibilitiesSystemic Thinking, Precise Implementation: Combine mechanics, optics, and electronics into robust, production-ready products.Benchmark & Teardown: Analyze systems, identify strengths and weaknesses, and translate findings into concrete design decisions.Cost-Out & Robustness: Identify cost drivers, optimize bills of materials, tolerance-critical areas, and manufacturing processes (DFM/DFA, VAVE).Prototyping: Introduce new concepts, evaluate them quickly (rapid prototyping, testing), and support them through to series production.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with optics and electronics teams – translate requirements, moderate trade-offs, and make informed decisions.Everyday Design Work: 3D design of assemblies/components, standard-compliant drawings (GD&T), fixtures for testing & production, change management in PLM.Your ProfileCompleted technical education (University of Applied Sciences/University/Technical School) and several years of experience in precision/fine mechanics, mechatronics, or similar fields.Strong foundation in mechanical design: tolerance analysis, manufacturing processes, surfaces/fits, materials & joining techniques; standard-compliant drawings (ISO/GD&T).Excellent 3D CAD skills (preferably PTC Creo) and experience with Windchill or similar PLM systems.Experience with DFM/DFA, value analysis (VAVE), FMEA/root cause methods (5-Why, Ishikawa, 8D).Structured, independent work style, curiosity, creativity – and enthusiasm for thinking across system boundaries.Affinity for industrial design.Good English skills.Why IN-VISIONProjects from quotation to prototyping to series production – real creative freedom instead of just feature-tuning.International environment (EU/Asia/USA) and short decision-making paths in a 50+ person team.Training opportunities, flexible hours, remote work option, and a culture of respect.The minimum gross salary according to the collective agreement of the Metal Technology Industry is EUR3.802,93per month based on 38.5 hours/week.
