Global Corporate Partnerships & Philanthropy Professional – Secondment

Unit: Global Market & Corporate Partnership Development – MA Development & Support (IDS)

Location: Innsbruck, Vienna (Austria), Dakar (Senegal), Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), Nairobi (Kenya), Skopje (Macedonia). Other locations where SOS has a registered presence may be considered. Work permits in the preferred work locations would be desirable.

Secondment Arrangement: This position is offered as a secondment assignment at least until the end of 2026 (but may continue longer depending on needs and mutual agreement). Selected colleagues are expected to dedicate a minimum of 50% of their working capacity to this role alongside their existing responsibilities.

Global Corporate Partnerships & Philanthropy is the global competence hub for corporate relations and regional/global partnership agreements. The functional area facilitates and fosters the federation’s corporate fundraising activities and manages global key accounts.

The team is responsible for driving and supporting partnerships and global income development in corporate and philanthropy fundraising. By proactively leveraging financial and non‑financial resources and building strategic alliances and managing international knowledge sharing, the department works towards growing the federation’s income from corporates and philanthropists.


Purpose of the Job

Depending on the selected service packages, advice members on developing and managing partnerships with corporations, major donors, and philanthropic entities and/or manages the relationship with assigned global key partners for income growth. Facilitate peer networks, build shared tools and standards, and provide tailored support for partnership strategy, co‑creation of value propositions, proposal development, compliance, and impact reporting. Supports members/partners in engaging new markets and fundraising models.


Tasks and Responsibilities

* Support local partnership development, assisting Member Associations in launching or managing corporate partnerships, including acting as interim corporate lead where local capacity is unavailable.
* Support Member Associations in all countries and territories.
* Coordinate assigned global corporate partners, overseeing strategic development, implementation, and stewardship of partnerships to ensure alignment with organizational priorities and income growth targets.
* Develop and present multi‑country partnership proposals, design innovative funding models, co‑create value propositions with partners, and coordinate agreement development, KPIs, and fund distribution.
* Drive the acquisition of new international partners by identifying and assessing opportunities, conducting prospect research, managing stakeholder engagement, and leading due diligence processes to secure partnerships.
* Coordinate international and cross‑border funding opportunities, facilitate collaboration across Member Associations and regions to maximize partnership income through structured partnership models.
* Ensure compliance and reporting for global accounts, lead and monitor processes to meet donor requirements, maintain accurate financial records, and adhere to compliance standards.
* Initiate, test, and pilot new income streams and fundraising models for international corporate partnerships and philanthropy, coordinate pilots for Member Associations, and evaluate outcomes.
* Provide capacity building and knowledge sharing, develop and deliver training content, tools, and best practices to strengthen corporate and major donor fundraising capabilities across Member Associations.
* Manage internal and external communications, coordinate updates on partnership achievements and initiatives across global platforms, and ensure alignment with brand guidelines and stakeholder expectations.
* Collaborate with global networks and internal teams, maintain strong relationships with the Corporate Partnerships & Philanthropy network, Member Association leadership, and internal functions to ensure cohesive strategy and execution.

Requirements

* Essential: Master’s degree in Fundraising, Marketing, Sales, International Development, Business Administration or other relevant fields.
* Desired: Certifications in Corporate Fundraising, Partnership Management, Project Management (e.g., PMP), or other relevant professional qualifications.
* 5–8 years of experience.
* Languages: English required; French and/or Spanish preferred.
* Successful candidates must submit a criminal record certificate current within the last three years.
