Your future position is at the Department of European and Comparative Literature and Language Studies, the work group Digital Philology in the Digital Corpus Linguistics team, characterized by excellent research in the languages of the ancient Silk Road.
Your future tasks
* Active participation in research, teaching & administration
* Build up an independent research profile in Digital Corpus Linguistics
* Involved in research projects and scientific studies in Digital Corpus Linguistics
* Publish internationally and give lectures
* Apply for projects and raise third‑party funds
* Prepare and complete a publication‑ready habilitation
* Hold courses independently within the scope of the collective bargaining agreement
* Supervise students
* Participate in evaluation measures and quality assurance
* Take on administrative tasks in research, teaching and administration
Required skills and qualifications
* Completed doctoral/PhD studies in Digital Philology/Linguistics
* A focus on languages of the ancient Silk Road is required
* Expertise in Tocharian Studies is desirable
* Willingness to participate in the interuniversity excellence Cluster 'Eurasian Transformations' is desirable
* Outstanding dissertation
* Research competence and initiative proven through international publications in peer‑relevant media
* Experience in independently teaching university courses is expected
* Experience in participating in research projects
* Didactic skills/experience in e‑learning
* IT skills
* Knowledge of university processes and structures is desirable
* Experience in student support
* Team player with high social/communication skills
