Job Description
As a Procurement Specialist, you will support global procurement activities and ensure smooth execution of strategic plans. This role combines purchasing, supplier management, and data-driven decision-making to deliver value across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Purchasing & Sourcing
* Manage purchasing for standard and project-based needs.
* Identify and develop suppliers; negotiate contracts and terms.
Procurement Operations
* Track orders and resolve delivery issues.
* Maintain procurement records and approved supplier lists.
* Provide vendor performance insights and support ad-hoc requests.
* Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Supplier Management
* Maintain and evaluate supplier relationships.
* Participate in vendor meetings and performance reviews.
* Monitor schedules and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Cost & Market Analysis
* Monitor market trends and supply risks.
* Recommend cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
* Analyze spend data and report on procurement metrics.
Compliance & Risk Management
* Ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
* Review purchase orders and assist in policy development.
* Maintain contingency plans to mitigate supply chain risks.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
* Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, Finance, or equivalent experience.
* 3–5 years in procurement, contract negotiation, and RFP/RFQ processes.
* Strong analytical and organizational skills; able to manage multiple projects.
* Proficiency in MS tools (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Power BI).
* Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
* Results-driven with a strategic mindset.
Additional Information
The position can be based at one of our Umdasch Group locations in Europe - preferably in the Netherlands, Windhagen (Germany), or Amstetten (Austria).
A salary in line with the market is offered for this position, which is based on the specific qualification and adequate professional experience. We are required by law to state a minimum salary. The minimum annual gross salary for this position is € 40.306,- according to the collective agreement (trade).
