As a Power Conversion Engineer (f/m/d) for frequency converters at our development and production site in Vienna (Ruthnergasse) you can contribute your know-how. Your IMPACT:
1. Oversee the complete development process of frequency inverters, from pre-development to industrialization and product aftercare.
2. Define the system architecture and engage in the design and simulation of electronic circuits and power electronic components.
3. Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team of electrical, thermal, and mechanical experts, leveraging the team's extensive experience.
4. Coordinate development activities with laboratory teams and external development partners.
5. Embrace a variety of tasks, ranging from theoretical considerations to practical electronic and power electronics measurements in laboratories.
6. Participate in design reviews, offering technical expertise and ensuring compliance with industry standards such as IEC and UL.

* The salary range for this position is above the collective agreement and, depending on education, qualifications and professional experience, is from 60.000 EUR gross per year.
Your Profile:
1. Diploma, master’s, or PhD in electrical engineering, electrical drives and machines, power electronics, or a related field.
2. Comprehensive system understanding of power electronics and power conversion, with preferred experience in frequency converters.
3. Expertise in the design, calculation, and specification of electronic circuits, systems, and power electronic components.
4. Proficient in using measurement equipment with hands-on experience in an electronics or power electronics laboratory.
5. Familiarity with circuit simulators such as Matlab/Simulink, Plecs, and PSpice.
6. Practical experience with 2D/3D multiphysics finite element analysis in low and high frequency domains, preferably using CST and/or Maxwell.
7. Strong understanding of electromagnetic theory and principles, along with experience in electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and electromagnetic interference (EMI) mitigation techniques.
8. Fluent in English, with reliable conversational skills in German preferred.
